Monte Hermana Tokyo Hotel

This place is functional and clean, with comfortable beds and good amenities for a short stay after a long day walking around Tokyo. The rooms are compact, as you'd expect in the city, and thoughtfully laid out. It's not luxurious, but it has what you need. The biggest plus is the location: Hotel Monte Hermana Tokyo is just minutes from Tokyo Station and within easy walking distance of major transport lines, making city exploring and day trips convenient. Even with such a central spot, the surrounding area feels relatively calm compared with busier districts.

The twin beds were firm, as were the pillows, much like at most of the hotels in Japan where we've stayed. We had breakfast there, with a good selection and great filter coffee. The room was good, and the hotel is close to Tokyo station. Its entrance is on a side street, but it's a good entrance once you find it.

Reception were helpful when we arrived early and let us leave our cases until check-in. The hotel was easy to find, just a short walk from Tokyo station. Our room was small but normal for Tokyo, modern and very clean, with the things you'd expect, including body wash, shampoo, tea, coffee, water, and an in-room safe. The beds were comfortable.

The staff were great. I sent luggage ahead and it was in our room before we arrived. Before checkout, we also used Airporter through Klook to send bags to the airport. Just remember checkout is at 11am. We were happy with the facilities and amenities: clean bedding, towels, and bathrooms, plus a laundry room we didn't use. From 11am to 10pm, reception offered free drinks, and my kid looked forward to apple juice when we came back each day. There were also bath salts, face masks, moisturiser, and similar items for guests to take, and the bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. Our room was close to the elevators, but I didn't notice noise from them. On Friday night, people laughing downstairs made some noise, but it didn't bother me much. It was quiet enough for my child and me, and the shops below didn't bother us either. I'm not sure what people fuss about there. The TV had few channels, so we used our own Netflix account. I got a good Expedia deal, and the hotel exceeded my expectations even after I read the Google reviews. I was managing a stroller and luggage with my kid. Often I just walked from Yaesu Central Exit, about 3-400m away, which was manageable. If taking JR, you don't need to search for an elevator when you exit at level 1. From B1F, the elevator is near Ichi-Dori by First Avenue Tokyo Station. The location was great, with lots of food choices at Tokyo station and some closer options I didn't explore as much as I could have. Ginza line access was within walking distance and had easy elevator access, and JR went directly to many places. Yaesu Central is also where you access Narita Express, making the airport connection easy. The rooms were compact, as expected in Tokyo, but there wasn't much space to hang clothes or fully open a suitcase. We made do by opening them halfway.
