Mystays Premier Omori Hotel

The location is the main plus, about seven minutes from the subway. The restroom is very old, and the shower head is so low it’s hard to get a decent shower. There’s no room-to-room service either. When I asked for toilet paper, I was told to come downstairs and get it at the front counter. This feels like a 3 star hotel, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

For about two weeks, this was a good-value stay with larger, western-size rooms and no real complaints. Omori and Omorikaigan stations are a short walk away for transit, and the airport is fairly close. The breakfast buffet isn't worth about $20 US per person unless your company is covering it. Across the road you can get ramen, Indian food, Sukiya, or konbini food for a third of the price, and I found those options better. Overall, I was pleased.

The bed was on the floor, and the hardest part for me was getting up from it every night. The hotel is also a fair way from Ginza, shopping areas, and tourist attractions. My family and I ended up staying four days only because the property refused to cancel after the second day. We booked through American Express. As an avid traveler, I found the service far below expectations. We would have paid for the first night and a bit more, but the staff member and front desk manager didn't seem to care. Another traveler checked out three days early and was refused a refund for breakfast tickets. A guest wanting to extend was told the quoted rate from a colleague wouldn't be honored, since rates change daily. I know it's a budget property, but that doesn't excuse subpar service. Staff could have listened and shown more understanding. It felt like they just wanted to take our money and run. One staff member was good, but if I could, I'd give the property zero. I'd strongly recommend checking the reviews carefully, as we failed to do because we trusted American Express. Don't stay here if you expect good service.

We had a great three-night family stay, booking a room with a king-size bed and one single. The layout was unusual, and the room was spacious, with all amenities provided.
