The staff were very nice, and the hot water was adequate despite the low pressure. Getting around the east side was fairly easy from Megome subway, though I'd double-check whether that line works best for your plans. After staying in newer business hotels, this place felt like a bit of a retro culture shock. You have to leave the old-fashioned key at reception when you go out, and the furniture was beat up with dusty corners. It started to feel utilitarian and fine once I got back into the mindset of my teen years staying in a New York City hostile. I bunched up the duvet to make it soft enough to sleep on, and folded it for a pillow. The heat was either on or off, so I had to keep adjusting it to stay comfortable. The amenities weren't as good as at the other places I stayed, and when I compared the nightly prices, this one cost the most but didn't offer the best value.
