Hotel Trend Asakusa Annex

The room worked perfectly for us as a couple. There was enough space for our luggage and plenty of outlets for charging our gadgets, plus a small refrigerator. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had all the amenities. It wasn’t too small, and I’d highly recommend it.

The staff were really nice. We checked out early and they let us leave our luggage until late afternoon. It’s a quiet place at night, with no loud bars around, and I’d happily stay again. The location is fairly central, close to three stations: two about a 10-minute walk away and one five minutes away, though that station doesn’t really go into town. Don Quijote, UG, Uniqlo, supermarkets and restaurants are nearby.

The place was very clean, the staff were sweet and gave good service, and the beds were comfy. They provide lots of basics, including a toothbrush, bath towel, body soap and shampoo. In general, we had an awesome stay :) There’s no elevator. Cleaning happens at 10 am, so it’s either sleep or have the room cleaned. The air conditioner would stop after a while, and we woke up in the middle of the night feeling so hot 😅. The electricity also stops if you take your card, so anything left in the fridge won’t be cold when you get back.

There are plenty of eateries, shops and a supermarket nearby, and the subway is just a few minutes away. The room was clean and a good size for Japan. Just bear in mind there’s no lift. If you’re travelling with big luggage, kids or even a baby, I don’t think this is the hotel for you.
