Hotel Trend Tobu Asakusa-Eki Kita

We’re happy staying in Asakusa on our second trip to Japan. The location is great, and the rooms and service were good too. Rooms are small, as is common in Japan, but this one was very clean. We had a great view of Sensoji Temple from the window. Recommended ✅

I found the location great, loved the area, and the price was affordable. The room I ended up in on a different floor was perfectly adequate for what I needed, though someone larger might have trouble with the bathrooms. The staff were really helpful. The first room had a terrible sweet, musty smell that I associated with bedbugs, and there was a bloody-looking stain on the corner of the upholstered bed frame. I asked to change rooms, but they couldn’t offer another one until the next day. I spent that first night at the nearest hotel, The Hop Inn, then returned to a normal room. I wouldn’t stay again unless my budget was super tight.

The location is excellent. The room could feel a bit small if you’re carrying lots of luggage.

The rooms were clean, the location was great, and the customer service was excellent. The gentleman at reception was very helpful when we needed a broken kettle in our room replaced.
