JR-East Hotel Mets Komagome

Being a little outside central Tokyo still made it easy to get around, and I loved seeing the sakura trees below the station and hotel during my March visit. I’m a big fan of JR-East Hotel Mets, and JR-East Hotel Mets Komagome was another good stay. When I got sick for a few days, the nearby drugstores, konbinis, and restaurants were a big help. Having a microwave in the room was handy when I couldn’t eat out. It was quiet day and night, with good soundproofing, so I could rest and recover. I’m already planning another Japan trip and will look at other JR-East Hotel Mets again.

Being so close to the station made this cherry blossom trip easy, with trees right outside and convenience stores and restaurants close by for food and downtime. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Check-in and check-out were simple, and they stored our luggage for free. I appreciated the free coffee and little amenities, too. Staff were professional and friendly. I’d recommend staying here.

I was there for seven days and would happily return. The 14m² room was small but very clean, with a hairdryer, humidifier, and kettle, plus free personal items at reception. You can get daily cleaning or hang the “No Cleanup” sign if you don’t need it. Check-in and check-out are done at machines, with staff on hand to help. Early check-in costs 2,000 JPY per hour. We paid another 800 JPY in accommodation tax for two people over seven days. Good value for the price.

I was impressed by how clean the room was, and staff handled requests quickly, even replacing towels at an odd time. They were friendly and did their best to accommodate what we asked for. The location is convenient and the price is good. The one small snag was that the check-in machine couldn’t read our passport, but staff helped right away.
