Jr-East Hotel Mets Omori

The main issue was the bathroom ventilation. There was no switch for the fan, so showers made the whole room humid, and sometimes there was a strange smell in the bathroom, possibly from mold because of the lack of ventilation. Apart from that, we had a great stay. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful, and the self-service check-in kiosks and luggage storage were easy to use. It's right above the station, with plenty of good food options there, and the amenities were great. We'd come back.

There's a little park with lots of cherry blossoms right next to the hotel, which was a lovely bonus. We also found plenty of restaurants nearby, with Atre Mall attached and convenience stores around the area. Getting around was easy. The hotel is only about 10 seconds from the gate, and I could see it from the platform when I got off, which made me feel very safe. It's two stops from Shinagawa, but central Tokyo is still easy to reach. A taxi to Haneda costs under 4000 yen, though I took the train instead since it only required one transfer. I had a clean, fairly spacious double room, and the self-service luggage storage was handy. Sorry about the poor photo.

The room was tiny, as is usual in Japan, but the hotel itself was clean and newly renovated. It's a great setup for travel or a business trip. The staff were very nice, and check-in and checkout were easy to do at the machines. You can also leave your luggage after checkout, and the amenities are available at reception. Omori station is in the same building as Atre department store, so getting around and finding food is simple. There are lots of restaurants near the station and a Donki that's open 24 hours.

The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the rooms and bathrooms were a decent size, though still a bit small. They were much better than other hotels we've stayed at in Japan, like APA. The coin washer and dryer is one machine, so you don't have to move your clothes between them, and the TV shows how much time is left. You can take as many amenities as you need too. For the price, this was a great hotel. Being connected to the station was so convenient, and I didn't notice any noise from it. We had a great experience.
