I wouldn’t pay this much again. I’d choose APA, Presso Inn, or TOYOKO inn instead. The location is good, and you can ask for the room to be tidied every day, with clean towels and sheets provided. In my experience, other three-star hotels in Japan sometimes use an “eco” schedule and clean every other day or every two days, so daily tidying was a plus. The bathroom was the main problem. It was musty and moldy, the shower curtain smelled so bad that I washed it with hot water while I was bathing, and the sink had visible damage despite being repaired. Yellow water stains around the toilet bowl made the whole place feel uncomfortable and stressful instead of relaxing. I asked to move rooms, but they said nothing could be done because the bathrooms were the same in all the rooms. I pointed out that the photos on booking.com and google maps looked fine, and the receptionist just bowed and apologized.

The Kanda area has a lot of charm, and this hotel is fairly priced for the neighborhood. It’s close to major train connections, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. My room was clean, and the bathroom amenities were great. Laundry costs about 1,000 yen. There’s a local pizza place around the corner that you really should try. Thanks, Kanda Station Hotel 🙏

The front desk staff were unfriendly and disappointing. If you don’t speak Japanese, there’s no language support, signs, or effort to help with a translation device or anything like that. They wouldn’t even store luggage after checkout. Before check-in, bags were just scattered around the small “lobby”.

It’s cheap and in a good spot, but the pods are cramped if you’re over 1.70m. The lights stay on all night with no way to switch them off, and the air conditioning is so loud it feels like sleeping in an engine room. There’s a small Onsen with just three showers for 90 beds.
