For about $71, I stayed in a 13sqm semi-double room at Keikyu EX Inn Tokyo Nihonbashi. The hotel opened in 2020 and feels fresh and practical. Kayabacho Station is only a two-minute walk away, and Tokyo Station (Yaesu Exit), Hatchobori, and Nihonbashi are all walkable too. The location is officially in the Nihonbashi area. My room had a premium Simmons bed and two kinds of pillows. There were USB ports by the bed, a Salonia ion dryer, and, if you choose the desk option, a dedicated workspace. The 8th floor is a Ladies' Floor with extra security and DHC skincare amenities. There’s a laundry corner with three machines, self-check-in, and welcome coffee in the lobby. Breakfast is at the 1F PRONTO, with five sets to choose from, including a balanced Japanese grilled salmon meal. For a night view, try the KITTE rooftop garden near Tokyo Station, where the illuminated station building looks like a diorama. For a different dinner, REWILD OUTDOOR TOKYO nearby offers an “indoor camping” meal with bonfires and cooking in mess tins right in the city. Search SUKIYAKI TRAVEL JAPAN on YouTube to see the night views and camping meal in 4K before you book.

I liked how quiet and non-touristy the neighborhood was, though getting there from Tokyo Station is a bit of a trek. I stayed four nights in Nov 2025. The hotel seems geared toward domestic business travelers, and with that in mind it was fine for what it is. The room wasn’t large, but the bed and pillows were comfortable enough for a longer stay. Cleanliness was uneven: I found stains on the chair and lots of dust in the corners. For the price, I’m not complaining. Reception staff spoke little or no English. I asked several times for a luggage scale and got two different ones on two occasions, then was told another time that they didn’t have one. The answers were inconsistent, to say the least.

Good value for the price. The rooms were clean, with no mud. Breakfast may not suit Europeans, but it was okay.

They can arrange to send your luggage to the airport with Yamato expedition. Ask a day before checkout. There’s a fee, but it’s very reasonable. I also liked the bathtub, which was just right for my size. The room was a bit bigger than at other Tokyo hotels, and I was glad to have an outside-facing window looking straight onto the street. The hotel is in a very peaceful, quiet area.

There are several train stations within a 10-minute walk, plus plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The location is quiet, and the rooms, though on the small side, were comfortable and had everything I needed. The hotel was clean and had a modern look, with free coffee and tea in the lobby. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I used Google translate, but communicating wasn’t a problem. They were helpful with the luggage shipping service too. I’d definitely stay here again!
