Keisei Richmond Hotel Tokyo Oshiage

The terrace had a very nice view of Tokyo Skytree, and the location was excellent for getting to Oshiage Station, Tokyo Skytree, and Solamachi, with shops, restaurants, and transport close by. The room was small, as expected in Tokyo, but thoughtfully laid out and comfortable enough. The service, cleanliness, and hospitality felt closer to a 5-star standard, even though it's a 3-star hotel. Keisei Richmond Hotel Tokyo Oshiage is a convenient and comfortable choice, especially if you want to stay near Tokyo Skytree.

My wife and I stayed one night at the end of our Japan trip. The nearby area was handy for last-minute shopping at LIFE grocery store and the Tokyo Solomachi shopping mall. Tokyo Skytree is just steps away and made for a nice final activity before we left. We had a delicious, cheap, convenient meal at Kura Sushi on the hotel's second floor. Our room was a decent size and had contemporary finishes. All hotel guests can use a small terrace on the 13th floor, with nice Skytree views. If it's clear enough, you can even spot Mt. Fuji in the distance. Oshiage Station is very close, with access to several train lines, including Keisei Sky Access for an easy ride to NRT.

The hotel's services were great, and the receptionists spoke English decently. The room isn't spacious, but the price is more affordable than hotels in popular areas like Akihabara, where rooms can be small and pricey. Some rooms, and the terrace on the 9/F, offer a view of Skytree, which is very close by. The hotel is right behind exit A1 of Oshiage train station. If you're arriving in Japan through Narita International Airport and aren't familiar with Tokyo's rail system, it's a good option: take the Keisei SKY ACCESS train and get off at Oshiage. I'd definitely recommend it if you plan to visit the Skytree!

The hotel was very clean, and the staff were friendly. Skytree is right across the street, and the trains are easy to reach. It's quiet too. I didn't hear any outside noise, at least. The elevators were slow, and the pillows were flat, which may not suit anyone who prefers them plush. Still, I'd stay here again.
