The rooms are small, but thoughtfully arranged. Ours had under-bed space for our big suitcases, plus shelves and a closet. It came with a fridge, kettle, coffee maker, safe, hair dryer, toiletries, and pajamas. There were plenty of outlets, all easy to reach. The bathroom was compact but complete, with a bidet toilet, deep tub, shower, sink with hot and cold water, a bin, towel and clothes hooks, and even cups and a shelf for brushing your teeth. This worked well as a short-stay base, and it wasn't very expensive per night. The location is handy for the subway and Kaminarimon, with easy access to Asakusa Kaminarimon Shrine, Haneda Airport, Sky Tree, convenience stores, and restaurants. The rooftop is lovely, with views of the Sumida River, the golden poop buildings, and the iconic Skytree. There's just one elevator for all 12 floors, but you can leave your bags with the hotel. Free extras include toiletries and light breakfast pastries and drinks. You can get clean towels daily by hanging your "eco bag" with used towels outside the door in the morning. Staff were very good, spoke English well, and greeted us whenever we passed. We also got gifts at check-in and checkout. They provided change for the laundry, too, though the dryers weren't great. Use only very small loads, or you could be up late wasting lots of 100-yen coins trying to dry your clothes. I'd stay again alone or with one other person. More than two in a group might need separate rooms because of the limited space.

A FamilyMart is right across the street, and there's no shortage of restaurants nearby. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and comfortable. We could walk to Asakusa Station and Sensoji Temple, and the rooftop on level 12 gave us a stunning view of Tokyo Skytree and the Sumida River. Airport trips were convenient too, with direct trains to Narita and Haneda and lift access to the airport platform nearby.

We picked a Japanese-style room, which felt more spacious, and we could fold the bed away when we needed to. The hotel also gives you a bread roll and juice or milk for breakfast, with amenities you can pick up in the lobby. There’s a rooftop view of Tokyo Skytree, too. Finding somewhere to stay in Tokyo during Sakura Season isn't easy, so we were glad to find this place near the Asakusa Line. It's only 20m from elevator gate A2 and about 400m from the main gate of Sensoji Temple. The location is especially convenient if you're taking the train to or from Haneda or Narita Airport, since the Asakusa Line serves both. Rooms are cleaned every three days. If you don't want your towel changed for "eco" reasons, put the magnet on the door as a sign.

The room was properly Tokyo-small, and opening two suitcases at once would be a challenge. You'd have to take turns, one open and one shut. Still, it was very clean, well kept, and practical, with a comfortable bed, compact bathroom, and decent amenities. There's not much room to spare, but I didn't come to Tokyo to hang around in the hotel. It isn't fancy, though it does the job, and I'd return prepared for the room size and ready to enjoy what's outside. Asakusa made a great base. The side streets were quiet, convenience stores were everywhere, and most things felt walkable. Sensoji Temple is nearby, trains are easy to reach, and the area stayed calm at night. That was my experience too. Seeing Tokyo Skytree lit up nearby, or from your room if you're lucky, really gives you that "I'm in Tokyo" feeling. The things I appreciated most were how clean everything was, the polite and helpful staff, the restful quiet at night, and being able to walk to food, trains, and sights. A couple of things to know: some KOKO properties don't have breakfast, but there's plenty to eat nearby, and you'll want to pack with the compact room in mind.

The hotel impressed me mainly because it's right by the elevator from the train station. From the roof, Tokyo Skytree looked clear and beautiful. The wait for the only elevator could be long, though I can understand why. The room was clean, but the bathroom had some stains that made me wonder if it had been cleaned thoroughly. The bed felt pretty hard, maybe because the mattress and cushion weren't thick enough. It was small, as is typical in Japan. Breakfast was a set of snacks and water at the counter. Most staff were attentive, greeting us and checking in, but a few weren't very nice. When I asked about sending my luggage ahead to the airport, I was told to scan a website and read it myself. If I could do that, I wouldn't have asked. One happy surprise: the pajamas were really good, proper pajamas.
