I liked the quiet neighborhood, and you can get to public transport in 8 minutes. There was everything I needed within a 5 minute walk. The dorm was more comfortable than I expected, clean, and convenient, and the common area felt cozy. I stayed one night and found it excellent value. Everything went smoothly despite there being no staff on site, since the whole process was digital. If I return to Tokyo, I'd stay here again.
The beds are large, the place is very clean, and the location is fantastic. There's just one shower, so get up extra early if you have somewhere important to be and need enough time.
The hostel is neat and tidy, with small, cute, cozy beds. Tall people may feel a bit cramped in them. The owners were the sweetest I've ever met and treated us almost like their own kids. I did my best to ask things in Japanese, while they did their best to help using the English they knew. Itabashi is one of Tokyo's quaint, idyllic areas, easy to explore on foot. A good place to decompress from the sensory overload of Shibuya and Harajuku.
Really good beds and a great location. They even provide a towel, which is pretty rare for a hostel.
A good base for a few days in Tokyo, with an easy connection to Kawagoe.
