We felt safe in the area, partly because a police station is nearby. It's also well placed between Ueno and Akihabara, with plenty of shops and food within a 15-minute walk and several stations reachable in five to ten minutes. From Narita, we took the Skyliner to Ueno for about 2,600 yen, then walked roughly seven minutes to the hotel, manageable even with luggage. We had more bags and Typhoon Jangmi was happening when we left, so we took a van to Haneda Airport. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the kids enjoyed the activities and small prizes, including a bingo card for things done around Tokyo. For my first visit to Japan, this was a great place to stay. The clean, spacious rooms come in several layouts and suit larger families. Ours had a fridge, microwave, stove, and a small dining area, with the shower and sink separate from the bathroom. I'd recommend it to anyone staying in this part of town. They have several locations around Tokyo, and I'd seriously consider this one again if I return.

Our group of more than ten booked two large rooms, and everyone was happy. There was lots of space to open our suitcases, two big tables for family meals, and a wardrobe with hangers. The kitchen had a fridge, oven, and microwave, plus a Balmuda toaster oven that I especially loved as a bread fan. Having the shower and toilet in separate rooms also made sharing easier. The location was convenient for restaurants and shopping, and the reception staff were all incredibly lovely. They made my sister's birthday trip feel special with a thoughtful little gift, which created a lovely memory. It was our anniversary trip too. I loved the hotel and would highly recommend it, and stay again if I get the chance.

We had to cut our trip short and return to NZ, and the staff were kind and accommodating through that. They were warm and helpful the whole time. The premium and ninja apartments were both spacious enough for six adults and two children each, with clean, well-equipped rooms, two bathrooms and toilets, a kitchen, and a comfortable dining area. The location is close to several train stations, Ameyoko market, and lots of restaurants and shops. The price was very good. We'd happily return and especially recommend it for larger families.

The kids enjoyed the activities, and the staff put effort into helping guests explore the neighborhood and local culture. They had QR codes with recommendations around Tokyo, including places locals go as well as the usual tourist spots. Our rooms were quiet, so we didn't hear outside noise, and they were clean and equipped with what we needed for the children. We chose Mimaru for the last part of our Japan trip because it's close to Ueno station, where we caught the Skyliner to Narita. That saved us from dragging luggage through the subway with young kids and gave us a chance to relax before the long flight home. It's also a handy hub for restaurants, shops, and transport, with direct lines to Asakusa and Akihabara. The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved staying here and will come back.

The location felt very safe with a police station nearby, and there were several main train stations, good restaurants, Ueno zoo, and department stores within walking distance. We were comfortable throughout our stay and would love to return. Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely styled, with separate beds for the four of us. At first, having a fridge, freezer, microwave, and stove in the mini kitchen seemed like a lot, but we ended up using every one. The staff, especially at the front desk, made us feel well looked after and gave us useful food and activity recommendations. The hand-drawn staff profiles in the elevator were a creative introduction. Thanks to Dong, Aika, and Uraru for their tips and activities, and for arranging luggage delivery to Narita Airport.
