We chose this hotel because it’s easy to walk to from Shinagawa station, where we needed to catch the Shinkansen to Kyoto the next morning. It also works well if you arrive on the Narita Express. With our rail pass, we took the JR line to Shibuya for a night out, only about half a dozen stops away. The rooms were modern and clean, and the staff spoke good English. They’re a bit small and expensive, but by Tokyo standards the value was fairly good. I’d stay here again.

I stayed for 10 days, and the staff were consistently friendly, professional, and ready to help. The rooms stayed clean, comfortable, and well cared for throughout. Breakfast had a nice range of choices and was a good start to the day. Takanawa Gateway and Shinagawa stations are both a short walk away, so it’s convenient for exploring Tokyo. There are plenty of cafés, restaurants, and shops nearby, and the area feels peaceful and safe. Good value for money, and I’d stay again.

I spent two nights at Miyako City Tokyo Takanawa during a short visit to Tokyo. It’s close to Takanawa Gateway Station.

Everyone was kind, and it was a really nice stay. The room was a decent size for the city, with a huge bed, and having both a shower and a bath was a nice bonus. The downside is that most outings took about a 15-20 minute ride, and there isn’t much nearby beyond a couple of restaurants and convenience stores. I’d stay again.

We were pleasantly surprised by how much we liked the hotel. The room had fantastic amenities and was cleaned every day. From the minute we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly and gave us world-class service. It’s about a five-minute walk from takanawa station, with trains to shibuya, shinjuku, and other places.
