The only thing I missed was having a bath, since there wasn't one on any floor. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and helpful. The setup felt much like the business hotels I've stayed at in Tokyo, with a bed and personal wash basin in the room and shared single-person showers and toilets on each floor.

A 7/11 is right next door, and the metro isn't far away. The shared bathrooms were always clean, with enough for the whole floor. For a small budget, the room is big enough for one person, and I liked having a sink and fridge in it. I'd definitely stay again.

The luggage charge was the problem for me. We left our backpacks for just a few hours the morning after checkout and were charged for a full day. There’s a sign at reception saying storage is charged by the day, but nobody told us beforehand, and paying a full day's fee for a few hours felt unreasonable. I'd suggest checking the policy before leaving bags, to avoid an unexpected charge 🥺 The hostel is clean and convenient for exploring Asakusa, though it's quite far from Tokyo's other main tourist areas.

I chose this hotel twice during my Japan trip, and most of my experience was fine. But on the morning of 2/24, I had a really disappointing interaction with the male receptionist. I asked for basic guidance on mailing a small gift to my friend. He didn't help with packing or clearly explain what to do, and his manner was unpleasant. What shocked me was that he seemed to mock me while I was asking. His tone and behavior felt disrespectful and unprofessional. People had been very kind and polite throughout my trip, so this was honestly the worst attitude I encountered. I was especially disappointed after choosing to stay here twice.
