The kitchenette made it easy to put together breakfast and simple dinners. There was lots of room, and the location suited our family with two kids. Nights were quiet, with three convenience stores just a 2-5 minute walk away.

We had four adults in the room and never felt crowded. It was lovely, roomy, comfortable, clean and well furnished, with space for our luggage, built-in wardrobes, a small living area with a desk, coffee tables and chairs, and a well-equipped kitchenette. We were on the top floor and had no noise issues. The room was cleaned and towels changed daily. The location was decent: about a seven-minute walk to two stations on different lines, making it easy to get around Tokyo. Ueno’s Ameyayokocho Market was a 12-minute walk away, with lots of food, shops and convenience stores, and it gets very busy from late afternoon onwards. We went to Takeya’s basement supermarket every day for supper and breakfast the next morning. Food and bakery items can be discounted by up to 50% if you go at 9 pm. We enjoyed our stay at Moto Hotel Ueno.

We stayed for a week and would book this place again when we return. It’s well placed for walking to Akihabara and the train stations, with Family Mart and Lawson nearby. The service was great. We used the laundry almost every day, at a cost of 400 yen, and they cleaned the room and changed our towels daily. The managers replied very quickly to questions and requests through Airbnb messaging.

The neighborhood was quiet, and the metro subway was a short distance away.

We had a very enjoyable family trip, and I’m already looking forward to coming back. Our fifth-floor room had its own floor, with enough space for three medium-sized suitcases. It also had kitchen facilities, so we bought groceries at a nearby Takeya shop and made simple meals. The hotel is in a residential area that felt safe and pleasant. It’s about a five-minute walk from the second exit of Shin-Okachimachi Station. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo! I came across a TV report about a hotel run by Taiwanese people and thought it looked good, so I booked six nights online.
