The location is the sole good part. I booked a week, and now I’m stuck here without a refund or a chance to move elsewhere. The apartment is run down and dirty enough that I had to buy gloves and cleaning supplies to clean it myself. There was dust everywhere, and the toilet had hair, dust, and orange stains around its base. The floors, microwave doors, refrigerator handles, and other surfaces were dirty too. The cleaning service is clearly charging, but doing a terrible job. The washing machine smelled of mildew and had mold inside, so I ran it empty, then sprayed and cleaned it. The beds are uncomfortable, and the internet is terrible.

It’s less than a 10-minute walk from akihabara station, with a family store and Nacau fast food across the street. Towels and basic toiletries are supplied. The only drawback is that all the remote controls are in Japanese.

There are lots of restaurants nearby and a train station close by, which was a plus. The beds were really uncomfortable, though, and the place was extremely noisy. There’s only one physical key for both the building and the room, and the bell doesn’t work, so it’s hard for multiple groups sharing the apartment if they return at different times. The WiFi wasn’t great even from the bedroom, despite being very close.

A small apartment in a great spot in Akihabara. We were five people, so it felt a bit tight, but we managed fine during our few days there. It’s really suited to people or groups who’ll spend most of their time out.
