Oyo Ryokan Sakura Garden Asakusa Bashi

The room was much bigger than I expected for three people. Four or five could probably fit comfortably. It was clean and cozy, with tatami and futons that gave it a traditional ryokan feel. Asakusa is nearby, and getting to the trains was easy. The receptionists were very friendly and did their best to explain things clearly, even though their English wasn’t very fluent. A simple, peaceful stay and good value if you want an authentic Japan experience without spending too much.

We really enjoyed the relaxed neighborhood, and the location is well connected. The staff were kind, and the rooms were clean and cozy. Our room had its own bathroom, with a shared bathroom and bath also available.

The rooms give you a nice traditional Japanese feel, and the neighborhood is peaceful. There’s a bus stop close by, and Iriya station is within walking distance. I think this place deserves better than the 2-star rating it gets on Google and other sites.

The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, and we even received goodbye gifts. We stayed four nights and everything went smoothly. Our traditional room had enough space for two and a private sink. The toilets are along the corridor, and there are two hot showers beside the bathtub. The one awkward part was having to wait when someone spent a long time in the tub. There’s also a little breakfast area with tea and coffee, which was just right.
