The host was so nice, and it was really peaceful.

I stayed here a few months ago. The hotel is in a residential neighborhood, and the building looks like it was converted for hotel use. The rooms have attached modular bathrooms, smaller than the ones at APA Hotels. I’d booked one night. When I walked into my room, I saw a cockroach. The front desk changed my room, but after that I couldn’t feel comfortable in the room or bath, so I moved to another hotel. The price was reasonable, and I hadn’t expected luxury, but it was my first hotel stay and I was shocked. I couldn’t accept it. Honestly, I thought love hotels would be cleaner. Cockroaches and other insects in a place that takes guests make me anxious and distrustful. I hope they take steps to keep them away in the future. Sorry this got long.

The building is definitely old, but the rooms were clean and I didn’t see any cockroaches. I’d read the reviews and felt a little apprehensive, but none of the issues people mentioned happened to me. These days, finding a Shinkansen package for just over 10,000 yen per night is rare. It takes a little more than 30 minutes to get from Shinjuku, but even so, I think it’s worth the price.

I only have dinner here, but the food tastes delicious and authentic when the men are there. When the women are there, it tastes like prepared meals. The front desk staff are rude, and there’s usually nobody there. I can hear people talking loudly inside, so if someone is there, I wish they’d come out. I have to ring the doorbell and then wait a while. It also smells like cigarettes. I’d like them to improve these things.
