Richmond Hotel Tokyo Suidobashi

For a three-star place, I expected a lower standard. It isn’t luxurious, but it has the essentials, and they’re just right. I loved it and would go back.

We drove, so it was handy to have parking nearby. The hotel is across from Tokyo Dome. There’s a Don Quijote downstairs where you can pick up coffee, snacks, and plenty of other things. It’s a big store, though the hotel’s a little off the central area, so it stays quiet.

Families will find lots to do and plenty of good places to eat at Tokyo Dome City, right across the street.

The location is good, but that’s about all. We went for our honeymoon and didn’t get any special touch. Breakfast is served at an Italian restaurant. It was fun for a day, but the pasta-style meal got too heavy over several mornings, so I wouldn’t say it’s worth the price. The rooms are small and a bit dated, with carpet, little room for luggage, minimal furniture, and a worn chair. There are no USB outlets, the windows don’t open, and sounds carry from other rooms. Vending machines are in the building, and there’s a Don Quijote downstairs with pretty much anything you might need. Fine if you just need somewhere to sleep.
