The shower barely worked, and there was no luggage storage after checkout. Edit in response to reply: The host is making several claims that aren't true. The water heating was already off when I arrived. Turning it on didn't fix the shower: the pressure kept changing, the temperature was uneven, and it was barely usable. When I booked, I got a confirmation saying luggage storage was available, without saying it only applied before checkout, so I planned my trip around that. The host then refused the service they'd offered. They made clear they could do it and had done it before, but couldn't be bothered, calling it “faced operational difficulties.” I explained that I had heavy luggage, but they still wouldn't help. They present the refusal as if they'd offered useful alternatives, but lockers aren't helpful. I had to pay about 4000 yen, then carry my luggage for a km under the sun or, as I did, pay another 3000 for a taxi.

The neighborhood is a great base, quiet but with lots to see and explore nearby. The place is stylish and has all the conveniences, including a washer/dryer. Watch out on the stairs, they can be a bit dangerous.

It's an apartment-style hotel, and I used it when visiting a friend nearby. The price was reasonable, and the shopping street right there made it easy to find somewhere to eat or drink. Koenji Station is only about 500 meters away, around a 6-7 minute walk. The modern black exterior is easy to spot. Inside, the stylish decor was spotless and everything seemed brand new. It had what I needed and made for a really comfortable stay. I'd definitely come back.

The space is so clean in every corner, which really shows the owner's eye for design. The modern, cool interior feels even higher quality than designer hotels. It also works perfectly as a co-working office. I'll definitely use it again next time!
