Roppongi Plaza Hotel

My room had a view of Tokyo Tower, and the facilities were better than I expected. There was even a microwave in the room for my own use, plus a Dyson hairdryer. They also left two free bottles of water, though the tap water is drinkable. The room and bathroom felt spacious by Tokyo standards, where rooms are usually compact. The location was great, about a one-minute walk from roppongi station. Lawson, 7-Eleven, and lots of good restaurants are nearby, especially inside roppongi station. roppongi is also not far from shibuya or shinjuku, which made getting to both convenient. It took a little looking to find the hotel since it's on the building's 6th floor and there's no sign out front. I managed because I'd saved photos of the building from people who posted them. At check-in they welcomed me with a warm drink and a free snack, a nice surprise for a 2 or 3-star hotel in Tokyo. I really enjoyed my stay and can't think of a reason to rate it below five stars. Remember to hand in your room key each day when you go out so they can clean the room.

The room was great, and the staff were so kind and welcoming 🥹. Really good service. This place deserves a better rating, and I'd stay here again on my next trip.

The staff are warm and committed, and although the building is old, the hotel is kept in good shape. It's in a great location, and I liked being able to open the windows to air out the room after smoking. It's easy to spot the building name, though there's no sign for the hotel itself. The hotel takes up one floor of an old studio apartment building. Outside noise was an issue, and the old, large balcony window let in the cold even with the heater running.

I liked the view of Roppongi Hills from the balcony. The room and bathroom were spacious, but trying to work on my PC was awkward without a desk, even though there was a table. The hotel is right by the station exit. I nearly missed it because there’s a club on the first floor. I walked past its flashy sign and took the elevator at the back up to the 6th floor.
