The location is a great balance: close to Shibuya, Harajuku, Omotesando, and Cat Street, but still calm and tucked away from the city’s bustle. The staff really made the stay. The front desk team were thoughtful, kind, and attentive every time we interacted. They helped with reservations, directions, and recommendations in a personal way that never felt transactional. The hotel is beautifully designed, modern and stylish but still warm, and distinctly Tokyo without feeling pretentious. Housekeeping was especially impressive: every day the room was spotless, refreshed, and carefully arranged when we got back. It exceeded my expectations and was easily one of my best hotel experiences. It’s rare to find such design-forward surroundings with hospitality that feels this exceptional.

The pool is clean and good for swimming laps, and the bar and restaurant in the pool area look out over Yoyogi Park. The room was thoughtfully laid out and comfortable, with a good bed. The shower was great, and the toilet had more functions than any I’ve seen in the US. The hotel also provides comfortable pajamas. Staff were very friendly and always ready to help, and the turndown service was excellent.

The hotel has a lovely design and concept, which made the poor noise control all the more frustrating. I stayed in a standard room and couldn't sleep properly until around midnight because there was a party in a suite on my floor. Guests were coming and going, clearly drunk and loud, and the noise spilled into the hallway whenever the door opened or closed. I called the front desk first and was asked to put up with it because the party was supposed to end at 11pm. When it continued past then, I went downstairs to complain in person. Staff called the suite, but the noise carried on. Guests should be told ahead of time if a party is planned on their floor, so they can choose whether to book. If I'd known, I would've made a different choice.

A beautiful hotel in a great spot for exploring the city, with Yoyogi Park close by. Everyone on staff was so friendly and helpful. We had an amazing stay at Trunk Hotel and would recommend it.
