Samurai Stay Sugamo-Male Only

The sleeping space was small, though it was comfortable.

The customer service was very bad, and the mattresses were uncomfortable, with springs sticking out.

It’s fine for a couple of nights.

I picked Samurai Stay Sugamo for a Tokyo business trip because it was the cheapest option nearby and had convenient transport. I barely spent time at the hotel. Reviews mentioned night noise and dirty rooms, but my room was clean, and I didn’t find it noisy. The surroundings were quiet and pleasant. The room is a bit like a hospital bed setup. There’s a small fridge in the room, plus a proper one in the first-floor living room, and power outlets. The outlets are a little far away, so an extension cord would be useful. Sugamo is handy, with supermarkets and convenience stores close by, so getting food and drinks was easy. There were hardly any Japanese guests, and lots of foreigners. It’s much more comfortable than a manga cafe, so I’d choose this hotel over one.
