Sotetsu Fresa Inn Ochanomizu Jimbocho Hotel

There is a reception counter, though much of the process is self service. You can check in and out at either of the two machines by the entrance, and the hotel has a pretty complete set of toiletries. It's an easy walk to the metro, with plenty of restaurants and cafés around.

The rooms aren't very big, but they're quiet. The hotel also has lots of free amenities, including face masks and tea, and breakfast at little mermaid is a nice way to start the day. It's on a quaint street near two Subway stations, with plenty of good restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helped with things like luggage and cleaning requests. I'd wholeheartedly stay here again in Tokyo.

I stayed here in August 2024, during the rainy season, when it rained almost every night. Luckily, there were free umbrellas by the entrance that I could just take. I don't have much else to complain about, but the laundry machines and dryers can't be locked. Once a cycle finishes, anyone could take out your clothes. It didn't happen to me, but I still didn't feel good about that. I'm fine with staff removing clothes if they've been left in the machine too long, but I don't think just anyone should be able to. Password locks on the machines would be a good improvement.

I spent 24 days here and found the room quiet and well designed, with everything I needed despite its small size. It was a good place to relax after exploring Tokyo. The self check-in and checkout option made things more flexible and streamlined. The location made it easy to explore the city and get to public transportation. Reception staff were welcoming from the moment I arrived, and their English was a big plus. I had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient, welcoming place in Tokyo.
