SUPERHOTEL Premier GINZA

I was happy with my stay and would come back. The hotel is close to transit, kombinis and the Ginza shopping area. The room was the size I expected in Tokyo, with a dining table and space to fit my luggage underneath. I really liked the hair dryer and wished I could take one home, but the voltage difference makes that impossible. During my visit, the onsen was tattoo-friendly from 1 to 4 AM, and hotel guests could help themselves to drinks from 5 to 9 pm.

There’s just one lift, but I have no complaints about the stay and would happily return. The room was cozy and clean, and the small onsen was clean and did the job. Staff were friendly, helpful and polite. It’s a six-minute walk from the nearest station, with konbinis, drug stores and pharmacies close by. The food on the same street was amazing too.

The public bath was my favorite part, though the water was a little too hot. The room was clean and quite spacious by Japanese standards, and all the amenities were provided, so I only needed to bring a suitcase of clothes. The location is great, and the staff were attentive, helpful and very pleasant. A super hotel, pun intended.

The room and location were fine, and we expected compact rooms in Tokyo. The service, though, was really disappointing. There were three of us booked in the room, and I was helping a family member by watching their 16-month-old baby. When I brought the baby to the hotel, staff wouldn’t let me take them up, saying that would make four people. What were they expecting me to do, leave the baby in the lobby? It seemed ridiculous. Next time we visit, we’ll stay somewhere with better service and that cares about a 16-month-old being in the room.
