Tokyo Grand Hotel

We stayed one night before going back to Haneda Airport. The monorail to the airport is about a 15-minute walk away. Our room was clean and fairly spacious, and the view from it was quite spectacular.

The hotel feels a little dated, though the rooms were okay. I got great help with my luggage transfers in particular. The area is quiet, with not much to do nearby.

The location is a bit far out, but everything else felt just right. The room was good, the service was good, and the hospitality was unbelievable. They really paid attention to our notes. I'd recommend it and stay again on another visit to Japan.

We liked the calm, understated feel of Minato. After the bustle of Tokyo each day, it was a nice place to unwind. A konbini is just around the corner, and several stations are a short walk away. We also liked leaving our room keys at reception and picking them up when we came back, since it meant we didn't have to keep checking whether we still had them. This was our first Japan trip, and we began with five nights in Tokyo. Tokyo Grand was exactly the sort of decent place we wanted to come back to after exploring. The decor and furnishings are a bit dated, but the hotel did what we needed. We didn't use many of the services or amenities, since we mostly slept there. Each time we returned, our room had been freshly made up, which was plenty for us.
