Tokyo Guest House Ouji Music Lounge - Hostel

It’s easy to get around from Oji Station, and the staff were lovely. The small restaurant served really good food, and the shower was amazing. Beds were comfy and gave you good privacy. There’s also a laundry with washing and drying machines at a good price. Really nice hostel.

The rooms were clean and pleasant, and the bathroom had a fantastic ofuro. Check-in and checkout were simple. It’s a short walk from Oji station, though it’s uphill. There’s another route using the elevator in the park, but it can be a little hard to find.

The music lounge was closed on many days, and customers came through to the hostel side to use the toilet, which felt strange. Inside, the common area is small and barely seats 6. The room was cramped, there were no lockers, and the air felt stale because the ventilation was poor. The bunk light was very dim, while the extra light blocked the outlet. The bed wasn’t made, and towels were ¥100 each. I picked this as my last Tokyo hostel, hoping for better than the cramped place before, but it wasn’t much better.

For the price, it’s an amazing place. The bed is comfortable, the service is great and the surroundings are lovely. If the bad reviews have you worried, don’t be. If you’re used to traveling, you’ll love it here.
