Tokyo Tourist Inn

My first trip to Japan, and I stayed here. The room was small, but clean and cozy. I really liked it.

The staff were friendly, and although the rooms are small, they’re clean.

The public bathhouse is only seconds away, and it’s free to enter. When I visited, there was even an oden stand outside its entrance at night. The hotel itself is just three minutes from the station, and I found it comfortable and good value, even with the rather mysterious location in Uguisudani. I’m on a tight budget, and when I stay in Edo I don’t like unit baths, so I’ve usually searched for business hotels near public baths. Looks like I can stop searching. I’d like to make this my regular place when I’m travelling alone.

I picked this hotel for a Tokyo trip with a friend because it was affordable and came with a free ticket to Hagi-no-Yu hot spring. Our room was small but clean, and for the price I was happy with it. When we left in the rain, neither of us had an umbrella. A staff member ran after us and brought umbrellas for both of us. I don’t think they do that for everyone, but the thoughtfulness really touched me, and I’m grateful. I don’t visit Tokyo often and felt a little nervous, but I’m glad I chose this place. The front desk service was wonderful, and I’d love to stay here again. Thank you for making us feel welcome!
