Tokyo Yugawara Onsen Manyo no Yu

I've been to a lot of onsens, and this was easily my favorite. The room and tubs were extremely clean, with a good range of amenities. Finding the entrance was a little tricky and I got lost on the way, but that was the only problem. Must visit again!

There are plenty of places to rest, including TV rooms for women and mixed groups, a reading room, and a playroom for kids. You can also get a meal here, and there's a coin laundry if you need to wash something. I wish I could spend the whole day next time. This is one of the nicest onsens I've visited in Japan. It costs a bit more than a regular onsen, but I think it's worth it. There are indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, a mist room with special exfoliating salt, and even a pool with aromatic essence. The ladies' room has satisfying amenities, as well as a vending machine for socks, underwear, and other items. During your stay, you can choose a colourful kimono or pajamas to wear for comfort.

The food was delicious and filling, and the staff were very helpful. Just be aware that dining at the restaurant requires an onsen visit, which costs at least 1600 yen on top of the meal.

Parking is available at this good day spa near Machida station and Granberry Park shopping outlet. The rooftop onsen is nice, though the view isn't especially beautiful. With restaurants and relaxation areas connected, it's a good place to spend the day.
