Toyoko Inn Tokyo Nihombashi Hamacho Meijiza Mae

The staff were amazing, and both the service and location were good overall. But the bed was rock hard and kept me from sleeping well. The washroom also smelled as if someone had been smoking in it for weeks.

We arrived in Tokyo with nowhere to stay after being scammed by another hotel, Artsy Inn. Ms. Morita was kind and very helpful once she heard what had happened, and arranged a room for us at Toyoko for the rest of our time in Tokyo. We’re grateful to the hotel and especially to Ms. Morita. Free breakfast was included too.

Everything was clean, the staff were pleasant, and housekeeping worked efficiently during my seven-night stay two weeks ago on my first trip to Japan. I especially appreciated the female staff member and the man with glasses who didn’t ask me to pay for the umbrella I’d lost at the train station. The main issue was timing: room cleaning only seemed to happen once in a blue moon, and when it did, it was early in the morning while I was still asleep after partying the night before. Since they only clean in the morning, I couldn’t ask for it later. I enjoyed my stay overall, though I wasn’t a fan of the free breakfast and would rather go to 7-11. I’d still recommend this place and would come back soon.

For my first trip to Japan, this was a comfortable, affordable choice in a convenient location. The staff were very polite and friendly, and there was free Wi-Fi and amenities.
