We were very disappointed with this stay. Although advertised as a 3 Star hotel, it didn’t meet those standards. There was no air conditioning in the rooms, which is a health and safety hazard. Our non-smoking room smelled of feet and cigarettes, was dusty, had carpet stains, and the bedside laminate was coming apart. The top doona cover definitely hadn’t been changed. The location is right in the Center of eat street, which is convenient in some ways, but the street is barricaded after 7am to keep cars out. If you have a flight, you need to order a cab before then or carry all your bags to the Main Street. Reception staff were neither helpful nor courteous, except for one man whose name I don’t know. He was very courteous. We paid roughly $250 AUD a night. There are plenty of other hotels around the corner with better facilities at the same price or less. We asked about a few for next time, and KOKO hotel stood out at roughly $119 AUD a night.

The location is fantastic, with food stalls and places to eat right nearby, plus trains close at hand. There’s also a beautiful shrine and pagoda a short walk away. The rooms are small but budget-friendly, and the staff were really helpful. I’d definitely recommend it to friends.

We booked three rooms for 11 nights through Agoda, so it wasn’t cheap, and ended up cancelling and leaving. The place felt more like a hostel charging hotel prices. It was outdated, had no elevator, and the bed covers didn’t look washed. There was a smoky smell, and the hallway carpet was stained all over and just unclean, not merely worn. It felt like there was no pride of ownership, despite charging 4-5 star prices. I assume the location explains it. The gentleman at the front was very polite and understood the situation.

The staff were amazing, very friendly and ready to help even with the language barrier. Housekeeping did a decent job when we asked to have the room cleaned. The location is great too, quiet, but just steps from shops and lots of restaurants, with Senso-ji only a five-minute walk away. The rooms are clean and tiny, which is expected from a budget hotel in Tokyo. There’s no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage upstairs. That wasn’t too bad for us since we were on the second floor.

The location is near everything, but the station is about a 15-minute walk. The twin beds were double-sized, so that wasn’t an issue for me. The bathroom bin was tiny, like a toy, and the bed topper was dirty, as shown in the photo. There was no porter to carry luggage and no elevator. They only provided unsweetened green tea, no complimentary water or coffee. We paid $600 for four nights, and it wasn’t worth it. When we asked for the room to be cleaned, they only made the bed. They didn’t vacuum the carpet or clean the small mess in the toilet. I wasn’t happy staying here.
