Ueno Woo Hotel

There are several subway stations close by, and the direct train to and from Narita Airport is a 10-13 minute walk away, with no stairs on the route. Nearby, we found lots of good restaurants and more than one 7-Eleven and FamilyMart within walking distance. The hotel also has an elevator, and even that's air-conditioned. We've stayed in Tokyo many times, and this is the best place we've found. It's spotless, and the staff are both professional and friendly. We're still here, but already sad we'll be leaving in a few days. I almost want to keep it to myself, though the owners and team deserve the credit. From now on, we'll stay here whenever we're in Tokyo.

We stayed five nights as a group of six in one room on the seventh floor, and it worked out really well. The room had two beds, tatami mats and big windows that let in plenty of light. The price for what you get is very good. Staff were kind and helpful, and although the hotel is near Ueno station, the museum and shopping streets, it was quiet inside. Great stay, thanks!

The bed was really comfortable, and the staff were nice enough, but this place let us down. It was the first hotel on our three-week Japan trip that felt a bit dirty and smelled bad. At over $130 a night, the small room and uninviting atmosphere didn't feel like good value. The location was fine, a little away from all the madness, which was what we wanted.

Getting around was easy, with several train stations and combines nearby, so it worked well as a base for traveling. There's seating in the reception area if you need it. The hotel was clean and comfortable, had all the necessities, and the bed was good. Everything worked as it should. I enjoyed my stay.
