ulu Tokyo

The neighbourhood was peaceful and felt very safe, with almost no traffic or noise at night. We slept so well. Our window looked out over a lovely river, and the room came with a large bottle of champagne at check-in. Tea, coffee, and snacks were replenished for free each day. The apartment was huge, more like a two-bedroom place, with its own bathroom, washing machine, and fully equipped kitchen. For the same price, hotels in central Tokyo were offering tiny single rooms. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and it was an easy 10-15 minute walk to several metro stations. We were thrilled with our stay and would return anytime. Thank you!

The views of the Sumida River were great, and we enjoyed the rooftop area. The location was convenient and quiet, and the reception team were friendly and helpful. Our room was on a high floor and accessible by elevator and stairs. It was clean, well equipped, and spacious enough for the three of us. A couple of small things could have been better: the automatic toilet lid would slam shut if left up, which was annoying at night, and the TV seating looked a little worn. Still, we had a good stay and enjoyed Tokyo too.

The rooftop stays open until 9pm, and the view of Tokyo’s skyline is beautiful. The neighbourhood is quiet, and I’d love to come back. The room was a pleasant surprise, with enough space for four or five people, a washing machine, and the option to do some light cooking. It’s more than a 10-minute walk to the terminal and train station.

We’ve had a very poor experience and still have no refund or clear communication. Our reservation at ULU Tokyo Hotel was made through Laura Tours (Reservation Number: 2387508321). Our flights were cancelled because of the war in Iran and the instability that followed. With a stop in Abu Dhabi, the trip was objectively impossible. Even so, the hotel won’t refund our travel agency. We don’t find that acceptable. It’s also very hard to reach the hotel by email, and speaking with them in English on the phone is extremely difficult. We expect a fair, prompt resolution. We’ll keep sharing our experience publicly until this is resolved.
