Wasabi Mita Hotel

The automated check-in was straightforward, and there’s a great supermarket along with plenty of convenience stores nearby. For the price, I thought this hotel was really worth it. Our room had its own shower, with shared toilets just outside, which let us manage our timing and privacy. The mattress was firm, just how I like it. You can hear a lot through the thin walls, as other reviews say, but earplugs helped. There’s a small vent under the window that seems to help with both noise and weather. It’s close to several train lines, Tokyo Tower, Ginza and other trendy areas. I’d definitely recommend it.

There wasn’t a receptionist to ask for help, and the room options weren’t described clearly. We expected a normal double bed with a toilet and bath in the room, but got bunk beds and a shared toilet outside. For two people, that’s pretty expensive.

I couldn’t get any rest during my stay. The room did a terrible job keeping out noise and the cold from outside. I had to climb onto the bed, which was very close to the ceiling above, and there was no toilet in the room. There was a stool to sit on, but no chair. This seems suited only to younger travelers. If you’re over 40 and going to Tokyo for work, I’d look elsewhere. Trying to repeat what you did when you were young isn’t a good idea. In high season it wasn’t cheap at all, and you can definitely find a much better hotel for the same price.
