We stayed one night with three people on 14th Dec 2024. Parking was 500 JPY overnight, and we chose the hotel so we could drive to the Tottori Sand Tunes, which is a short trip away. Room 718 was well equipped with three queen side beds and had a good mountain view. The hotel’s onsen was great for a relaxing soak, with a sauna and cold dip, though there’s no outdoor onsen. There were several nice places to eat dinner nearby. Breakfast was a buffet with the usual Japanese dishes, a good way to start the day. A pleasant stay.

The beds were fairly comfortable, but the unit bathrooms were very old and dated. Since it was winter, the whole hotel was in heating mode, and the room got impressively hot. I couldn’t cool it down except by opening the window a tiny bit.

The onsen and general cleanliness were good. My room, though, felt stuffy, and opening the windows wasn’t allowed. It was small, and the bed facing the door made it feel even tighter. The shower pressure was low, and its pipe was twisted so it wouldn’t stay straight.

The bathroom had mold and mildew, and the breakfast choices were limited. The room’s AC didn’t work, so they had to bring in a fan to try to cool it down. Tattoos aren’t allowed in the onsen.

The staff were wonderful, and it’s eight minutes from the train station. But the rooms were very poor quality, among the worst I’ve seen in my life, and definitely the worst I’ve seen in japan.
