The place was dirty, with tiny, filthy bathrooms, and it felt like a prison. The owner doesn’t speak English and, if a booking problem comes up, will argue with you. I booked through Agoda and was charged for two nights on my card. At check-in, the owner said cash was required, though Agoda hadn’t made that clear. I agreed to pay cash for the second night and called Agoda to get the card charge refunded. Agoda then cancelled the booking while trying to help with the chargeback, and the owner yelled that I was scamming him, even though I’d paid cash at check-in. I had to book another hotel and asked for a refund, but the owner still refused. Stay away.

The shared areas felt welcoming, and you could tell the staff had put effort into them. The bed was clean and really comfortable, and the staff were kind and welcoming too. A simple hostel, but a great one.

I didn't stay long enough to know for sure, but it didn't seem very social. The owner was super nice, though. The place smelled bad, the location wasn't great for downtown Osaka, and I found bugs in my bed. For the price, I'd look elsewhere for a nice room.
