The private onsen stood out, especially with the Finnish spa and cold plunge adding even more ways to relax. Breakfast was another highlight, a distinctive, delicious meal worth trying at least once. The property was spotless, and the rooms felt authentically Japanese while still being comfortable and modern. Kinosaki Onsen is a peaceful, charming town, and Akaishiya made it feel even more serene. From check-in, Hiro was so helpful, and his English was excellent. My family and I send our warm wishes to him and everyone at Akaishiya. This was one of the best hotel stays I've had.

There's a bathhouse beside the hotel and a family mart across the street, though the more popular bath houses take a bit of walking to reach. Our room was spacious, very tidy, and had a design that felt both classic and modern. Hiro-san was especially helpful and friendly. He showed us how to wear the yukata, explained the onsen history and etiquette, and even booked a restaurant reservation for us. I really enjoyed staying at Akaishiya.

The staff welcomed us at the entrance and got us settled at a table while they brought our bags to the room. Hiro showed us around the room, explained how everything worked and went over proper onsen procedure. He even helped us get dressed in a yukata and explained that too. His English was excellent, so I'd recommend this place if having an English-speaking staff member matters to you. So far, this is the nicest hotel we've booked, and we're looking forward to relaxing in the onsen.

Akaishiya was in a great spot for reaching the major onsens, and it also has a lovely private onsen of its own. The rooms were spacious, and the staff helped us understand how everything worked and what to expect. Hiro looked after us during our stay, which we really appreciated. We'd definitely recommend the hotel.

We really enjoyed the private onsen, sauna, and cold plunge here, which public onsens don't offer. The hosts were also kind about accommodating our vegetarian needs. Breakfast was huge, enough that we skipped lunch, and there was a lovely selection of teas, local sweets, and warm, good-quality yukatas. Akaishiya has been fully renovated, and all the facilities look beautiful. The room was warm too, which we appreciated.
