Kobayashiya

In the evening, the village atmosphere was amazing, with dozens of people in yukatas heading out to enjoy the seven onsens you can use for free when staying in Kobayashiya. We had a wonderful two-night stay in a quiet, relaxed, warm building. The yukata selection, choice of Western or Japanese breakfast, amazing dinner, and spotless private onsens were all lovely. Coming back after dinner to find a warm pack by my feet inside the futon was such a sweet surprise. Every staff member was great, whether helping with directions, chatting with us, or serving dinner and breakfast. The manager even introduced himself at dinner, and I hope he knows how good the team is. We'll definitely come back. Thanks to everyone.

The lobby's wonderful collection of art books, the food, the space, and the staff all made this a trip highlight. They paid attention to detail throughout my stay. I appreciated Kobayashiya so much, and can't wait to come back. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

We stayed in the garden view room, which was beautiful, and got to choose from different yukata. There were also thoughtful extras like eco friendly combs and razors. The private onsens were great, and we tried all three without waiting once. The inn feels like a perfect mix of modern and tradition. The staff were kind and knew their food well, and gave us helpful advice about the public onsen. Their English was great too. They let us drop our luggage off early, brought delicious welcome drinks, and served a wonderful kaiseki dinner. The owner even took time to talk with guests at dinner. The service was impeccable, and staying here was a highlight of our trip. Thank you for everything ❤️

We had a river view room, and the sound of wooden sandals clopping along the street was delightful. The ryokan's restrained style felt perfectly done, and the place was a peaceful haven. Dinner and breakfast were incredible, the private onsen was lovely alongside the town's public ones, and the staff were lovely too. A delight from beginning to end.
