The living room was my favorite spot. I spent ages there taking in the view and the atmosphere. It was our first ski trip to kannebe, and I’m glad we picked this hotel. The host was really kind and helpful, and the food was delicious with generous portions. The Tajima beef was the best. The room was comfortable, though we could hear other guests walking around and opening doors. Getting here on foot from the bus station with luggage was a bit of a trek over a snow-covered path, which made for a pretty unique experience, haha.

Nakashima-san made our two-night stay such a pleasure. Our group of six had a really warm welcome and great hospitality at this family-run resort. The place feels comfortable, local, and authentic, and the meals were delicious and clearly high quality. We’re already looking forward to coming back to this ski resort.

The natural surroundings were lovely, with fresh air, and the one-night stay with two meals was very reasonably priced. We went in September 2023 while visiting the temple and graveyard, and the whole trip became a special family memory. The Tajima beef sukiyaki was delicious, and everyone enjoyed it. With a large family, we don’t often manage overnight trips. The owner was incredibly kind, and I’m more grateful than I can put into words. Kannabe is worth visiting outside ski season as well, so I recommend staying here if you’re in the area.
