Kinosaki Onsen Sinonomesou

The personal touches from the staff made our visit unforgettable. Asuka Koga looked after us during our kaiseki meal, and later sent a hand-drawn picture and a heartfelt letter. Her thoughtfulness meant a lot to us. We had a wonderful stay at Sensui and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Our traditional Japanese-style room was beautifully kept and felt authentic. The private baths in the ryokan were a great way to unwind, and the location was convenient, within a short walk of both the public baths and the train station.

If you love crab, go in winter. Our dinner course had several crab dishes, and the food was tasty and fun. Our server Thu was so kind, explained how to enjoy everything, and made the meal a lot of fun. My wife and I had a great time at Sensui. There are several private onsens guests can use freely, and we even enjoyed a relaxing spa soak on the morning we checked out. We arrived a couple of hours before the 3 pm check-in, but the staff kindly stored our luggage so we could explore Kinosaki. When we returned at 3, they checked us in and patiently explained the building's amenities. We're looking forward to coming back.

We stayed here on 9-10 Jan, and it was a wonderful visit. Kinosaki is a quiet, interesting place, and the ryokan is close to the train station. Our room was spacious, and there are two private onsens you can use for free with no time limit. They offered us complimentary sake before dinner, and the snow crab meal was the highlight. Service was impeccable. Thu spoke very good English and took great care of us. Highly recommend! ❤️Absolutely wonderful, nothing to fault👍

What made Sensui special was how authentic it all felt, with no tourist-trap atmosphere. We had a private sauna, for an extra charge, and incredible food. The price felt more than fair for what we got, and we'll be back. It's right in the heart of Kinosaki, with the onsens just outside. Service was outstanding too. Rio, our host, made us feel welcome from the start, warm and attentive without hovering. One of the best stays of our two-week trip through Japan.
