We spent two nights here in winter, with breakfast and dinner included, and got to try matsuba crab. The video I posted is from our first dinner, one of several different dishes served during our stay. The inn is on Kinosaki's main street, about a 10-minute walk from the train station and close to the onsens we visited.

We were well looked after when a snowstorm suddenly hit the region. The rooms stayed cozy in winter, with heated tatami and a heated bathtub. Staff were warm and welcoming, the meals were thoughtfully prepared, and the town's onsen are easy to get to. A lovely ryokan stay, and worth the price.

The dinner was one of the best meals we had in Japan, and the location made it easy to explore on foot. Our room was spotless and felt genuinely traditional. The staff were so friendly, taking their time to explain everything with help from a translator. We had an amazing stay.

We don't speak much Japanese, but a few staff members spoke excellent English and explained the lovely food they served. They were really accommodating, and gave us passes for the nearby public baths. We had a fantastic stay at this ryokan.
