GUESTHOUSE Kinosaki Wakayo - Hostel, Caters to Women

The inn was so quiet and clean, with a little garden and free coffee. I was the only guest that day, so they upgraded my room and I pretty much had the whole place to myself, which made the stay feel perfect. The staff were lovely, and they provide a yukata, haori, geta if you want them, a towel, and a small basket. The white yukata with blue patterns is simple and pretty, feels like good fabric, and is really comfortable. They also have larger sizes.

The place felt like stepping into another time as soon as I walked in. It was spotless, the bedding was comfortable, and the location was just right. The hospitality was incredible too. Easily my favorite place I stayed in Japan, even compared with some nice hotels, and the best hostel I've ever been to.

The sisters who run the place are warm and helpful, and you can borrow a yukata, coat, sandals, and bag for free. It was one of my favorite stays in Japan, and a great lodging option for women. I was in the dorm, where the futon was more comfortable than most. The heating worked well, and the toilets were in good shape. It's just off the main street, so it's quiet while still close to everything.

We felt at home as soon as we arrived, thanks to hosts who were so kind and welcoming. The whole guesthouse was immaculate and the house itself was lovely. Such a great stay from beginning to end, and we'd love to come back.
