I still recommend it and give it five stars for the value compared with pricier places nearby. The private onsen was very good, with a relaxing, memorable woody scent and no chlorine smell. The welcome lounge and breakfast cafe were beautiful, and the staff there were warm and welcoming. Free treats were limited, as was the time to enjoy them, but they were delicious and well prepared. The free traditional outfits were beautiful and came in several styles. The location is right on Kinosaki's tourist street, close to Family Mart and an 8-10 minute walk from the train station. My room had enough space. But when I arrived around 4pm, nobody could help carry my heavy luggage up to the third floor, and there seemed to be no elevator. The lavatory faucet could burn your skin in winter, and really needs a safety device. The stair treads are so small that wooden slippers make them risky, and you could literally fall. I hope those safety issues get fixed.

The location was perfect, breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. My Japanese style room was spacious and comfortable. Such an amazing stay, and the highlight of my trip to Japan.

We had half board for two nights at Koyado Enn, and the location was great, very close to the JR station. The staff were wonderful, and we could communicate in English well enough. Breakfast and dinner were scrumptious. After visiting the public onsens, we enjoyed the afternoon happy hour drinks, sparkling plum wine and hot or cold sake. Thank you, Koyado Enn!

I spent two nights here and felt so welcome. The breakfast was great, and they were happy to accommodate my vegetarian needs. Renting a bicycle was also really convenient, since you can do it right at the front desk where you check in.

If you're visiting kinosaki onsen, this is a wonderful place to stay. The staff were such a joy, very welcoming, and helped me with any issues. A trainee named Nguyen Thi Dung helped me a lot and made me feel especially welcome. The private baths were sublime, and the food service was some of the best I've personally had.
