Miharaso

I stayed 2022/05/01-02, and the private toilet in my comfortable room was a real plus. The onsen bath was lovely too. I had a morning soak in the sunlight, which was a wonderful start to the day. My booking included a light breakfast of buttered toast and coffee, an unexpected treat. The couple running the ryokan were warm and welcoming. The wife was especially so, while the husband was a bit stoic but kind. I was travelling alone after my companion suddenly cancelled, and the wife helped adjust my booking.com reservation from two guests to one, reducing the price. Ryokans charge per guest, so I really appreciated it. I did have to pay cash instead of using the card I'd booked with, which I was perfectly happy to do. They also have a shuttle to the main Kinosaki onsen area, running until 10pm. You can arrange a return pickup time or call when you're ready. With few parking lots in the onsen area and all of them paid, I was grateful for the service. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I'll definitely come back! ♡♡

The woman who works here is a joy to be around, so kind. The owner is also happy to shuttle guests back and forth, which helps since the location isn't convenient for getting to the onsen. The rooms are simple but nice.

We stayed at Miharaso with Mr and Mrs Yamazaki, who were so helpful and hospitable. Mrs Yamazaki even upgraded us for free to a huge room, which we really appreciated. The property is far from town, so getting around is inconvenient and driving would be better, but it was wonderfully quiet and peaceful, with a night sky full of stars. I’d heard Mr Yamazaki was a good cook, so I ordered Kaiseki dinner for the family. I'm glad we did, the food was really good. Mrs Yamazaki also helped dress my wife and daughter in yukata for the Japanese Kaiseki dinner, making the meal feel extra special. We had an amazing stay and hope to come back soon.

We had a happy stay with the friendly, helpful couple who run this ryokan. It is a bit of a distance from the train station and public onsen, but there's a free shuttle during the day. Call them and they'll pick you up, with the service available until 10pm.
