The peaceful setting was what I enjoyed most. Tokiwa Bekkan feels tucked away from the town center, in a more residential area, with beautiful mountains covered in autumn colors when we visited in late November. It's a bit of a distance, but they provide a shuttle. There's also a short walk to Kouno Ya onsen, where we had a great soak. Our room was spacious, with tatami mats, a balcony, a bathtub, and a hot water dispenser. It looked onto a lovely moss garden. The ryokan has lots of wood and a classic feel, though some of the wood and fixtures show their age, which is part of the charm. Service was warm and accommodating. We arranged meal and shuttle times, and our server Mei was fun to chat with. The kaiseki dinner was a highlight, with a nice range of textures and flavors across the courses. Fresh snow crab was the standout, sweet and juicy, and beautifully presented. The beef sukiyaki hotpot was excellent, too.

The room was very spacious, and the whole place had a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. I wish I'd had another night to enjoy it, especially to spend more time with the free-flowing drinks in the lounge. I just ran out of time.

We liked being a little away from the busy street, and it was easy to get out for dinner or visit the public onsen, either on foot or with the inn's shuttle. The staff were kind and helpful. We got by just fine with Google Translate, and had a very comfortable ryokan stay.

The room had a wonderful garden view, and the whole place felt quiet and peaceful. The food was excellent, with local specialties. It's one road away from the main street, but easy to reach on foot. Staff were waiting to greet me at the entrance when I arrived. This was the best place I stayed on my trip to Japan, and I'd definitely try it if visiting Kinosaki.

We really enjoyed the property's own onsen, and the stay also included a pass for all the onsens in town. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff were welcoming and friendly throughout. The service was excellent. I'd recommend staying here, 10/10.
