Uminone

We got a warm welcome from the staff, and the onsen was relaxing. Dinner was amazing, especially the crab course, and the view from the window was fascinating. After busy city trips, the hotel felt like a peaceful oasis. You can fall asleep to the sound of the waves outside. The seawater was clean and warm in early September, but we couldn’t really enjoy swimming because of the jellyfish.

The staff were simply the best, and we felt very well cared for. Breakfasts were amazing. Our stay was peaceful, with massage chairs, an onsen, a guest relaxation room, a private beach and transfers to the train station. The rooms were very comfortable and exceptionally clean. We visited in spring when the town was very quiet. I’d recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet seaside stay near Kinosaki Onsen.

The staff were super friendly and picked us up, then took us back to the station. We stayed one night in March, and it was one of the best places we stayed in Japan. The room was big and had a view, the food was lovely, and the onsen was really good. I reckon it’d be a great spot for a longer summer stay.

We visited Uminone last week, and the town was friendly. The beaches were clean and almost empty when we arrived on Sunday afternoon. It’s a bit of a drive from Kyoto, but well worth the trip. My wife and I stayed with four other family members, and this was the highlight of our two weeks in Japan. The ocean views at night were spectacular. The food was delicious, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the onsens were relaxing. The owner, hostess and staff were polite, accommodating and very friendly. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer. I highly recommend it.
