Having Toys Kingdom close by was convenient for our plans, and the toy-filled room was a hit with our kids. We stayed two nights toward the end of summer, and overall we liked the hotel, even though the room needs attention before we'd plan another visit. Most of the equipment worked fine, but the room itself felt dated and wasn't laid out especially well for children aged 1 and 5. The door wasn't a sliding door, and the stair guard was positioned on the stairs rather than at the bottom. The toilet and shower room were also quite small. We appreciated the effort to improve the equipment, though the room facilities still need work. The door opened straight onto the outside hallway, which felt especially risky with kids walking by. Getting to the ground floor with a stroller was inconvenient too, since we had to go through the building to reach the elevator.

There are three restaurant options: Japanese food, foreign-style food, and an open buffet. They start serving at 8 pm, and you can use the hotel's indoor hot springs beforehand. Nearby, there's a very large kids' entertainment park with animals and toys. The hotel has plenty of amenities for both children and adults.

The food and the shinkansen package were both good, and the place was nice overall. But the beds were awful, uncomfortable, and left my back in bad shape. A hotel really depends on a decent night's sleep, so this knocked a couple of stars off for me despite the other positives.

The room was dirty, with hair in the sink and awful stains on the wall, including one right beside the bed's head area. We booked for five people but were given only two beds, two futons, and two towels. It was cold in the hotel outside the room, and the food made me sick.

After a tiring tour, the hot spring was a nice way to relax, and walking into the forest for some fresh, energizing air was lovely too. The dinner buffet had lots of tasty dishes, including local Japanese food, Chinese dumplings, desserts, and ice cream. If you're visiting Japan, this hotel has a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere worth experiencing.
