Hotel Alpha-One Tsuruga

The room was spacious, and the TV was a good size.

The location really works well. There's a convenience store close by, and a MEGA Don Quijote right across the street, so picking up groceries or daily essentials is easy. The rooms are a little old-fashioned, but they're clean and quiet, which I like.

I spend more than half the year on business trips and have stayed in all kinds of hotels, but the cleaning here was careless. Finding somebody's used bandage in the bed was disgusting. There was something splattered on the bathroom wall, and the chair had dust and pubic hair on it. I paid to stay here and couldn't properly rest at all. I just had to put up with it. Whether you stay or not is up to you, but the place was nearly empty, so maybe people already know. I won't be coming back.

This place is about 2 km from the station, roughly a 15-30 minute walk, so it's more convenient if you're driving. A convenience store is also within walking distance. The rooms feel a bit dated, with central air conditioning and hot/cold water mixers, though they are clean. There aren't as many power outlets as you'd expect these days, but Wi-Fi and USB chargers are available. Check-in was easy, and I was happy with the reasonable price.
