The owner spoke enough English to explain the basics, and they kindly accommodated my shellfish allergy. The food was very nice. I was there with my 12-year-old son, and we enjoyed my first ryokan stay, so keep that in mind when reading this. My only issue was a stale smoke smell in the bedroom. Apart from that, it was a great experience.

The food was just okay, and the room smelled strongly of smoke.

I was traveling alone for work and had a really enjoyable stay. The service, food, and feel of the room were all excellent, and the whole place was very clean. It also felt reassuring that the air-conditioning filters seemed to be cleaned regularly. They had thoughtful extras like free humidifier and memory foam pillow rentals. The bath area had plenty of products, including shampoo, face wash, lotion, hair growth agent, and mousse, so you could arrive without bringing those things. I was surprised to see quite a few negative reviews, since to me this was a good inn that felt worth more than the price. Thank you very much.

Four of us stayed for two days and one night, with breakfast and dinner included. We liked that the rooms and hallways had tatami, so we could walk around without slippers. The meals were tasty for the price, and there was a nice room with free coffee that we could use. One downside was that the bath water in our room took a long time to heat up.

The bath wasn't very big, but there were plenty of amenities, so I had no complaints about it. Since I was traveling alone, I got a six-tatami room. It felt homey and I found it relaxing, though it was a little disappointing that about a quarter of the view from the window was a building wall. They had made some effort to use the open space around the building for plants and flowers. The inn is in central Tsuwano, which made it handy for walking around town. The building has three floors and not many rooms or guests, so it felt spacious and unhurried. There is no elevator, though, so getting to the rooms seemed like it could be a bit difficult for someone with trouble walking.
